This course is designed to provide the student with an overview of key issues to be addressed when developing mass fatalities response plans. It focuses on the primary functions that must be fulfilled in order to facilitate mass fatalities response and community recovery. Some of the concepts discussed in this course include: Essential Emergency Management Issues, Hazardous Materials Identification, Primary Sites of Mass Fatalities Response Operation, Headquarters Staff Processing Center, Disaster Site, Morgue Site, Family Assistance Center, and Management of Traumatic Stress.
